I Prevail Redefines Metalcore as They Embrace a New Era

The summer of 2025 marks a transformative chapter for I Prevail, the Grammy-nominated Michigan rock band. Longtime frontman Brian Burkheiser has amicably departed from the group, citing health-related concerns, notably his battle with the rare Eagle syndrome. Now, the band steps forward with renewed energy, fronted by Eric Vanlerberghe and supported live by Dylan Bowman.

On May 23, they unveiled their first single without Brian, the aggressive and guttural “Violent Nature,” signaling their intent to push boundaries on their upcoming album. Just weeks later, on June 20, they surprised fans with “Into Hell”, a haunting and melodic track led by Eric’s clean vocals and emotional storytelling. As Eric explains:

"This song is about loving someone through their lows and struggles. Being there to take their burdens…"

Plans for their fourth studio album were confirmed on July 15, with a scheduled release date of September 19, 2025. Speculation is riding high on how this bold new chapter will deliver both sonic intensity and introspective depth.

I Prevail are currently headlining the star-studded “Summer of Loud” tour, sharing stage top billing with Beartooth, Killswitch Engage, and Parkway Drive. Other support acts include The Devil Wears Prada, The Amity Affliction, TX2, Kingdom of Giants, and Dark Divine. The tour spans major North American cities from June 21 to July 27 — a showcase of peak metalcore energy across outdoor amphitheaters.

The band will also hit Europe later in the year, including an exclusive headliner show in Leipzig, Germany on August 11, 2025 at Haus Auensee, further establishing their global momentum.

Despite lineup changes, I Prevail assure fans that every show in the current tour circuit will proceed as planned, and that their signature high-voltage live performances won’t miss a beat.

With two powerful singles out and a full album on the horizon, I Prevail are not merely surviving change—they’re transforming it into the next evolution of their sound.

DMusic Radio will keep you in the front row as this band writes its new chapter.
